Frequently Asked
Questions

01

How many sessions do you recommend?

In my opinion, it mainly depends on the level of need, the complexity of the presenting condition, and your budget. I would recommend 3-6 sessions at the beginning with continuous reviews to monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Then, we can extend for a further number of sessions or therapy can also be open-ended (without a limit to the number of sessions).

02

How often are sessions held and how long do they last for?

Similarly to the number of sessions, the frequency of sessions depends on your level of need, budget and personal preferences. Some individuals have therapy sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly. The duration of a session is usually between 50-60 minutes.

03

Are you the suitable therapist for me?

I am not *THE* suitable therapist, I am *A* suitable therapist. There are many trustworthy, knowledgeable professionals. I was trained to work with several issues, but I have my limits as well. If I felt that my work would not be suitable for your level of need, I would make recommendations as to what to do next. It can also happen that we will not feel “compatible” with each other – that is why reviews are held regularly.

04

How much do sessions cost?

Session costs range between £45 – 65 (e.g., depending on whether or not therapy is requested face-to-face or online). For more information on fees, please click here .

05

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, I do. You can read about it on the

Fees  page.

06

Will you talk to others about what I tell you?

I will not share any personal information about you, unless I am required to do so by law or if I have concerns about your safety or someone that you know. I may discuss certain aspects of my cases with other professionals if I needed some clarity (e.g. in supervision), but I will not be using names or other identifiable elements to you or others.
